Reduce toxic load, support the liver, skin and kidneys at a cellular level

Toxins can build up in the body as a result of environmental and lifestyle factors (think pollution from being in a city, alcohol, and fast food), this can lead to chronic health issues.

The liver, kidneys, lungs and skin are the major organs in the body involved in detoxification. But these hard working heroes sometimes need a helping hand – that’s where our recovery IV drip comes in.

What is the recovery IV drip good for?

Our recovery drip is ideal for those who are frequently exposed to toxins and would like to take action to protect and improve their health.

Examples of exposure to toxins can include:

  • Air pollution from living in a city
  • Being exposed to environmental toxins (pollution, mould, asbestos, lead, heavy metals)
  • Eating out often and consuming large volumes of processed, pesticide-rich foods
  • Drinking alcohol often
  • Everyday inhalants like perfumes and air fresheners
  • People who have mercury or amalgam fillings (mercury is highly toxic and fillings or the removal of them can leach mercury into the mouth, causing health issues)
  • Orthopaedic surgery (where metal has been implanted into the body)

A buildup of heavy metals and toxins can lead to oxidative stress which affects the cells in the body. This can impact the detoxification function of the liver, kidneys and skin.

We often see patients who have very general symptoms, for example feeling tired and generally unwell or not feeling 100%. But you may also notice some of these symptoms:

Benefits of the recovery IV drip

When detoxification gets going, frequently patients feel worse before they feel better. Although this doesn’t sound good, it’s actually great news because it means the body has mobilised the toxins from fatty tissues so they can be excreted via urine. (You can read about the vitamin hangover here). But after what might be an initial dip, our recovery IV drip can create:

  • More efficient removal of toxins from the body
  • Improved liver, kidney and skin health
  • Improved protection against free radicals and oxidative stress
  • Better energy levels

What’s in the recovery drip?

The recovery IV drip contains:

  • Vitamin C
  • Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)
  • CoEnzyme Blend

Vitamin C: This antioxidant and anti-inflammatory aids in the neutralisation and removal of toxins. It also helps reduce oxidative stress, which has been linked to many chronic health conditions. Vitamin C is also vital for maintaining healthy skin (plus bone, cartilage and blood vessels), and can help fight fatigue.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA): Supports the body’s natural detoxification process by helping to neutralise and protect against harmful free radicals and reduce oxidative stress. It does this by increasing glutathione levels inside cells. This potent antioxidant is able to regenerate itself alongside other antioxidants including vitamin C, glutathione, CoQ10, and Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+).

CoEnzyme blend: This works hard to fight the damage caused to cells by free radicals. CoEnzymes have been shown to help reduce inflammation in the liver. They play an essential role in converting food into energy by stimulating the powerhouse in our cells – the mitochondria. This speeds up production of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) for cellular energy production and can help us feel like we have more energy.

The Harpal way

The recovery IV drip has been designed to complement our gut + inflammation IV drip. Whilst targeting and neutralising insults is highly important, recovery and regeneration needs to be taken into account as well to allow your body to get back to equilibrium. This drip can be beneficial for those who are healthy but like to push their bodies hard like athletes, gym enthusiasts, those who fly a lot or change time zones more than 2-3 times a year.

We can personalise our recovery IV drip to you and your needs by adding additional ingredients necessary to your goals and your body’s specific requirements. Do ask your IV nurse for guidance and advice during your in-depth consultation.
