Discover what your longevity journey might look like

You’re committing to your health and your future – it’s only natural you’d want to understand what that might look like.

Once you’ve completed your foundation consultation and received your report with recommended tests and next steps, you’ll move on to either our focused or comprehensive pathway.

Below, you’ll find examples of what each pathway can involve. These patient journeys illustrate potential assessments and progress over the first year. Your own recommendations and experience will be adapted to your individual health goals and needs.

Please note: The cost of your foundation consultation will be deducted from your chosen pathway, as the initial consultation would have been completed.

“As a 43-year old mum of two boys who works full time, I’m time-poor and seriously lacking on the sleep-front. I’ve been starting to notice changes to my health and I’d like to nip any issues in the bud right away – I don’t want them to impact me longer-term. My libido hasn’t been great and I’ve been finding brain fog is affecting me on a daily basis. I’m keen to look at my hormones as I have seen changes in my cycle and my PMS symptoms seem to be impacting me a lot more than usual. I also noticed I’ve been gaining weight no matter how much I try to eat well and exercise – I just can’t shift it and it’s really affecting my confidence in a big way.”

– Anesha

Month 1 – Foundation consultation

Anesha’s goals:

  • Address low libido and hormone symptoms
  • Optimise areas of health to lessen weight gain and promote a better weight balance
  • Improve sleep quality and duration
  • Address cause of brain fog

Doctor assessment completed. Anesha wanted to focus on one concern at a time and so it was agreed that the focussed pathway was most suitable. This option also suited her lifestyle better and enabled her to make changes at her own pace.

Combined goals were:

  • Hormone optimisation
  • Metabolic health support
  • Optimise sleep
  • Address nutrient deficiencies

Suggested testing

  • Longevity blood serum test: An advanced serum panel including organ systems and blood chemistry, metabolic markers, nutrients, inflammatory markers, advanced cardiovascular markers, hormones, thyroid, IGF1

Observations from test results

  • High total cholesterol
  • Oestrogen dominance
  • Low progesterone
  • Suboptimal metabolic markers
  • Low vitamin B12

Consultation to discuss longevity health strategy

  • Doctor’s report and treatment plan consultation completed. It was agreed that an initial focus on hormone optimisation, metabolic health and nutrition would be most appropriate.
  • Longevity nutrition referral made as Anesha had a keen interest in this area to support with her metabolic health and nutrient levels

Longevity health coaching included in pathway and first call scheduled.

Month 3 – Focussed follow-up consultation

Presentation

  • Sleep has improved and she is waking feeling more refreshed
  • Energy levels have increased
  • Overall she feels better in herself

Suggested testing

  • Hormone blood test

We will retest the advanced longevity blood test at a later stage as not all markers need repeating at this stage.

Observations from test results

  • Hormone levels ratios and levels rebalancing

Additional steps

  • Refinements to the initial plan discussed and implemented with the patient

Longevity health coaching continued.

Month 9 – Focussed follow-up consultation

Presentation

  • Brain fog has lifted significantly
  • Sleep continues to be better
  • Reports improved libido
  • Feels increasingly more in control of her health

Suggested testing

  • Re-test longevity advanced blood test panel
  • Anesha found that with her improved energy she was able to increase exercise and would now like to look at physical performance testing using a VO2MAX, as well as a functional movement assessment and DEXA scan

Observations from test results

  • Longevity blood serum test shows hormones are now optimised
  • Lipid parameters have improved significantly
  • VO2MAX is in the medium category for her age

Refining of treatment plan

Is doing exceptionally well on the current treatment plan from her doctor. The nutrition side is increasingly focussed on fuelling for exercise.

Future goals

Anesha:

  • Improve exercise capacity and build more muscle
  • Interested in DNA testing looking at metabolism and longevity-associated genes
  • Interested in micro-dosing GLP-1s for preventative inflammation control

Our goals for Anesha:

  • Optimise exercise performance
  • DNA testing to finesse metabolism and learn which longevity-associated supplements are genetically most appropriate
  • Regulate inflammation
  • Continue to optimise hormones and metabolism

“I recently sold my company after an intense 10 year period and I’m taking some time out before getting stuck into my next project. Part of my plan is to spend this time taking a deep-dive into my health. I’m not getting any younger and I want to ensure that I’m taking steps to age well so I can remain active and do the things I enjoy for as long as possible. At my last checkup my GP told me I had elevated blood pressure and borderline high blood sugar, so I’m keen to get a handle on those early on. I’ve also noticed fat gain around my abdomen and I have been seeing less progress in my gym sessions, despite regular training. I have Alzheimer’s in my family, so I am looking to assess my risk. My libido has also slowly been getting worse and I have been feeling anxiety for the first time. I don’t want it to affect my relationship so I’d like to address that too.”

– Carl

Month 1 – Foundation consultation

Carl’s goals:

  • Address elevated blood pressure, increasing weight and anxiety
  • Improve libido and energy levels
  • Build more muscle
  • Assess Alzheimer’s risk
  • Understand which areas need focus

Doctor assessment completed. Carl wanted to make a meaningful shift and jump in with both feet. Together, we decided that the comprehensive pathway was the right choice, allowing him to cover as much ground as possible early on – knowing it would give him the fastest route to change.

Combined goals were:

  • Hormone optimisation
  • Optimise metabolism
  • Assess and mitigate possibly heightened Alzheimer’s risk

Suggested testing

  • Longevity blood serum test: An advanced serum panel including organ systems and blood chemistry, metabolic markers, nutrients, inflammatory markers, advanced cardiovascular markers, hormones, thyroid, IGF1
  • DNA – APOE (Alzheimer’s risk)
  • Pulse wave velocity (arterial age) with advanced blood pressure screen
  • DEXA (Viscera + Bone)
  • VO2 MAX
  • Functional movement assessment

Observations from test results

Test results showed:

Arterial age: 56

(chronological age – 49)

Serum tests:

  • Liver, kidney and haematology were all within normal ranges
  • Dyslipidemia
  • Omega 3 to omega 6 ratio suboptimal
  • Apolipoprotein B is slightly elevated
  • Lipoprotein (a) and LP-PLA2 are low
  • Low normal testosterone
  • IGF1 is medium – low
  • Vitamin D very low

DNA:

  • Genetic result for APOE DNA report showed a variation on MTHFR and an above average risk for Alzheimer’s – not high risk

Physical testing:

  • VO2MAX is mid-range, showing scope for improvement
  • DEXA shows elevated risk due to suboptimal results for android, gynoid and visceral fat; bone density is optimal
  • Elevated blood pressure

Consultation to discuss longevity health strategy

Carl received his report from his doctor and completed his consultation to discuss his report and treatment plan. Together, they decided that the focus would be on his metabolic health, inflammation reduction, hormone optimisation and nutrition targeting cardiovascular health with a plan for secondary inflammation reduction and detoxification further down the line when his overall health had improved.

Longevity health coaching included in pathway and first call scheduled.

Month 3 – Comprehensive follow-up

Carl reported:

  • A significant increase in lean muscle mass
  • Improved mood and decreased anxiety
  • Libido has improved with better quality erections
  • Energy levels improving

Suggested testing

  • Blood test looking at hormones, blood chemistry and organ systems
  • Gut test looking at gut barrier and immune responses to food types

Observations from test results

  • Improved testosterone levels
  • Dyslipidemia still apparent but improving
  • Vitamin D showed marked improvement post injection
  • Better blood pressure
  • Good gut barrier function
  • Immune reaction to: whey, cow’s milk, aubergine, cinnamon, swordfish, aspartame, watermelon

Consultation to discuss longevity health strategy

Refinements to health strategy discussed and implemented.

Longevity health coaching continued.

Month 9 – Comprehensive follow-up

Carl reported:

  • Energy levels the best they have been in years
  • Mental clarity improved
  • Stress resilience is better
  • Happy that metabolic markers have normalised and was hoping to see further improvements since implementing doctor’s health strategy and suggested dietary changes

Suggested testing

  • Re-test longevity blood serum test
  • Blood pressure tested in clinic

Observations from test results

  • Blood pressure optimal
  • Apolipoprotein B within range
  • Sex hormone levels optimal
  • Omega ratio improved
  • Some dyslipidemia remaining but has greatly improved overall
