Longevity Medicine
Living to 80, 90 – even 100 is becoming more common. But while we’ve extended our lifespan, our healthspan – the number of years spent in good health – has decreased for many of us. The fact that good health is declining tells us something about the impact of modern living; meaning that longevity nutrition as a form of preventative healthcare is more important than ever.
Due to lifestyle, diet and stress, it is common for people in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, to begin noticing the effects of ageing. Thankfully, you have the power to influence how well you feel. You can make a difference to your future health – regardless of your age – through personalised nutrition choices.
If you are looking to address longevity nutrition as a form of preventative health to help to prevent chronic health issues in later life, our longevity nutrition for preventative healthcare service is a great place to start.
Our longevity nutrition for preventative healthcare service is designed to support you at any stage of life, and help you thrive both now, and in the future.
We utilise data provided by your baseline biological markers as well as longevity-associated testing to provide you with personalised advice specific to your body and goals.
Longevity nutrition targets individual health risks factors. We do this by identifying your specific vulnerabilities – whether cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s risk, inflammation, or metabolic dysfunction – guiding you on nutrition choices that actively support your long-term health.

Please note, all testing is an additional cost.
Our doctor-approved longevity nutrition for preventative healthcare service is designed for individuals that wish to take a proactive, rather than reactive, approach to their health. It could be ideal for you if you fall into one of the following groups:
Prevention + early intervention
Test results showing suboptimal markers (e.g., blood pressure, blood sugar or inflammation) and you’re unsure how to implement nutrition changes effectively.
Family history + risk management
A family history of cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s, or metabolic issues and want to take preventive action.
Nutrient + mineral optimisation
You want to address deficiencies and ensure optimal vitamin and mineral levels to support cellular function.
Longevity testing
You want to explore longevity tests and learn which supplements and dietary changes align with your health goals. If you already have a plan, we can help fine-tune it for even better results.
Gut optimisation
You don’t have digestive symptoms but want to enhance your gut health for optimal healthy ageing and supporting the regulation of inflammatory responses.
Weight + muscle balance
You want to achieve a better weight balance and optimise muscle gain. Muscle is often described as ‘the organ of longevity’, and its importance in ageing is pivotal.
GLP1 nutrition support
You’re using GLP-1 medication. Consuming less can mean missing out on key nutrients. We can ensure you’re covering all the nutritional bases, and optimise nutrition as you transition off GLP-1s to help you maintain your results.
Schedule a complimentary 20-minute phone call with our longevity nutritionist to discuss your key areas of concern and determine if our longevity nutrition service could help support your long-term health goals.
Nutrition is complex, and it can be challenging to know where to begin when it comes to optimal nutrition – especially when we are given conflicting information. While there are key principles, these can feel vague and uninspiring. Knowing what’s right for you specifically and its purpose for your health can be a game-changer.
The truth is that there is no single longevity diet. Each individual has a unique physiology, metabolic response, and genetic makeup; what benefits one person may not be beneficial for another. So where do we start?
The key to discovering the right longevity diet for you is personalisation – using data, testing, and individual health markers to determine what dietary approach best supports your body’s specific needs.
At Harpal Clinic we go beyond standard parameters. Advanced testing allows us to analyse biomarkers, metabolic responses, and genetic predispositions. Our carefully co-ordinated approach allows us to create a personalised health strategy for you that tackles core health concerns while incorporating more specialised assessments.
During your consultation, we will help you choose a test from test group one, and a test from test group two below where relevant.
Testing costs are separate, however, the time to interpret these tests is included within the cost of the longevity nutrition for preventative healthcare service.

Our core nutrition blood test offers a thorough assessment of your metabolic health, including blood sugar levels, kidney and liver function, muscle enzymes, and uric acid. It also includes an advanced lipid profile (cholesterol, triglycerides, etc.) which includes the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids. The test evaluates iron status, essential vitamins and minerals, and provides insight into inflammation and bone health. Additionally, it measures trace minerals like zinc and copper, as well as a full blood count.
You may have recently completed a blood test with your GP or primary healthcare provider which covers some of the markers available in our core nutrition blood test. Our top-up test fills the gaps in standard GP blood tests by including key nutrient markers that are not routinely checked. If you’ve had a blood test within the last 6-8 weeks through your GP, we can complete a shortened version of our core nutrition blood test by testing additional markers to provide a more comprehensive assessment of your health.
A urine test looking at sex and adrenal hormones. It can be both useful and interesting if you’re currently on HRT and wish to learn more about how your body is processing and eliminating hormones (e.g., oestrogen).
This add-on panel provides insights into key markers related to heart and vessel function. This allows for a better understanding of your cardiovascular risk and overall heart health.
Key hormones related to female reproductive health and thyroid function.
Key hormones related to male reproductive health and thyroid function.
For those seeking nutritional guidance while using a GLP-1 medication we provide a more streamlined test type which covers blood sugar markers, nutrient markers, pancreatic enzymes, and thyroid function.
Learn how your genetic variants impact food tolerance, appetite control, blood sugar balance, and specific vitamin and mineral requirements.
This test explores the APOE gene along with others related to methylation, inflammation, detoxification, and neuroprotection.
Understand how your genes influence your metabolism, including your ability to process fats, proteins, and carbohydrates efficiently, as well as key longevity genes.
Analyses genes involved in all phases of the body’s detox processes, as well as genes managing your oxidative stress load.
Learn how genetic variations influence neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin, and GABA, and their effects on mood, motivation, addictive behaviors, attention, and restlessness.
This gold standard cardiovascular age test is non-invasive. It measures arterial age, includes an advanced blood pressure screen, and Ankle-Brachial Index to assess blood flow.
GlycanAge measures the impact of chronic inflammation on aging by analysing changes in glycans, providing insights into your biological age.
Metabolomix+ is can analyse key biomarkers, providing insight into your nutritional needs, including vitamins, amino acids, fatty acids, and antioxidants.
This test identifies foods triggering gut inflammation (your immune response). It also assesses intestinal barrier function, and potential gut permeability (leaky gut). We can help you do so by eliminating foods that trigger an inflammatory response and ensuring the gut barrier function is working optimally.
